Rob Lander joins Raven Telemetry as chief strategy officer

Dec. 5, 2017 – Raven Telemetry, an artificial intelligence company for manufacturing, is welcoming Rob Lander to the team as chief strategy officer, board member, and investor.

Lander rounds out Raven’s line-up of manufacturing industry veterans, adding more than three decades of experience in data-driven manufacturing. Most recently, he was the president and CEO of Stackpole, a global tier-one automotive parts manufacturer.

He was also the plant manager and group vice-president responsible for Meridian Technologies’ Magnesium Division and Global Technology Organization, a magnesium die casting company. Earlier in his career, Lander was a management consultant with KPMG in manufacturing operations management. He also worked at General Motors as an engineer and plant floor supervisor.

“Rob is a powerhouse in the manufacturing industry,” said Raven CEO Martin Cloake. “His vast experience and strategic operational vision are invaluable. Naturally, we are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Lander has a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and has held board positions with several companies, from early stage start-ups to more mature global operations.

“Raven’s vision and roadmap is a natural progression of my own passion for leveraging data-driven manufacturing and the latest manufacturing management principles to drive operational performance,” said Lander. “I am thrilled to join the outstanding team at Raven and pioneer the application of artificial intelligence in the smart manufacturing movement to fundamentally change how factories operate.
